Swin Cash traded to Chicago

Former UConn star Swin Cash, a member of WNBA championship teams in Detroit and Seattle, has been traded by Seattle to Chicago in a package for the second overall pick in April's WNBA draft.

Seattle gave up Cash, former Connecticut Sun forward Le'Coe Willingham and the No. 23 pick for the second selection.

The move makes me wonder whether the Storm are rolling the dice on Elena Delle Donne entering the draft. If that does happen, Seattle would get either Delle Donne or Nneka Ogwumike which would be a good value. If that isn't the case, you'd have to think Seattle may look at a player like Shenise Johnson of Miami or perhaps Shekinna Stricklen out of Tennessee.

The move could also open up some salary cap space for Seattle to pursue a free agent.
