UConn commit Napheesa Collier had 10 points, eight rebounds (including a team-high five offensive rebounds), one assist and one steal as the United States opened play in the FIBA Americas U18 World Championships with a 104-55 win over Mexico.
The U.S. will play El Salvador on Thursday in the second preliminary round game before wrapping up pool play against Canada, the other opening-day winner in Group A, on Friday.
