Milestones within reach for UConn's Mosqueda-Lewis, Stewart

Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis' pursuit of UConn's career 3-point record has been well documented in recent days and weeks and she could move into first place with four 3s against St. John's tomorrow. However, there is another milestone within reach.

Since Geno Auriemma took over the UConn program 30 seasons ago there have been 120 players to suit up for the Huskies and only four have scored 1,500 points in fewer than 100 games. With 18 points tomorrow Breanna Stewart would make it a list of five. Stewart, with 1,482 points in 88 career games, would be the third fastest player to reach 1,500 points as it took Maya Moore just 81 games and Kerry Bascom 87 games. Perhaps the most impressive aspect of all of this is that when it happens she will join Mosqueda-Lewis (who did it in 97 games) to make two of the five players on the list on the current team.

Here's the list

81: Maya Moore
87: Kerry Bascom
90: Rebecca Lobo
97: Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis
100: Kara Wolters
102; Svetlana Abrosimova
104: Nykesha Sales
106: Tina Charles
107: Diana Taurasi
108: Shea Ralph
NOTE: Cathy Bochain scored 1,534 points in 108 games but I was unable to determine how many games it took her to get to 1,500 points.
