The end is in sight
The Big East regular season will come to an end somewhere around 11 p.m. when the Louisville/Marquette game is in the history books. The final brackets won't be set until the final game is complete.
Somebody a little more mathematically inclined needs to break down all the scenarios but this is what I do know. Connecticut, Louisville and Pittsburgh are locked in as the top three seeds. If Seton Hall loses to Georgetown, the Pirates would be seeded 16th. If Seton Hall wins and Cincinnati loses to DePaul, Cincinnati would end up being seeded 16th. If Seton Hall and Cincinnati both win it could get interesting with a potential four-way tie with 4-12 teams.
Three teams are in the running to be the No. 8 and 9 seeds. South Florida, Georgetown and Marquette are all 7-8. If all three teams wins, South Florida would win the tiebreaker based on a 2-1 record against Georgetown and Marquette. Marquette would be seeded ninth courtesy of its win over Georgetown.
SNOW STILL FALLING
Looking outside, it is still snowing (another not heavily) and glad I made the decision to come down yesterday because trying to drive down in this mess would not have been the most enjoyable experiences of my life.
Had a nice breakfast and saw a familiar face on the television when Jamie Roth, who I met a couple of times when she was at WFSB 3 in Hartford was giving a report on the New York ABC station. Jamie is looking as beautiful as ever.
On a sadder note, the Big East newspaper fraternity lost one of its legends when former Notre Dame beat writer Forrest Miller of the South Bend Tribune passed away on Saturday at the age of 78. I thought of him when I didn't see him at the UConn/Notre Dame game last month. There's a fitting tribute to "Woody" in the South Bend Tribune on Sunday. Notre Dame also is mourning the death of its hockey team's play by play radio announcer Mike Lockert passed away at the age of 43.

1 Comments:
Jaime Roth may be looking as hot as ever but the question remains is she single.
