Leedham leads Great Britain to win

Former Cheshire Academy star Johannah Leedham scored a game-high 18 points as Great Britain defeated Israel 74-51 for its first win at the 2011 EuroBasket championships.

Leedham, who is seeing her playing time limited as she recovers from a knee injury which forced her to sit out the exhibition game against the WNBA's Atlanta Dream, was 6 of 10 from the floor including 3 of 6 from 3-point range and also had four rebounds, three assists and three steals as Great Britain clinched third place in Group B in a spot in the next round of tournament.

Leedham averaged 12 points, 2.7 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.3 steals in 18.7 minutes of play in pool play.

Former Christ the King and Maryland star Shay Doron led Israel with 15 points.
