UConn commits Stewart, Mosqueda-Lewis shine in exhibition
Future UConn players Breanna Stewart (11 points, 7 rebounds, 5 blocked shots) and Kaleena Mosqueda.-Lewis (9 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists) helped the U.S. Under-19 team to a 49-37 win over Brazil on Sunday.
UConn recruiting target Diamond DeShields had four points, five rebounds, two assists, two steals and a blocked shot. UConn rising sophomores Stefanie Dolson and Bria Hartley as well as UConn commits Moriah Jefferson and Morgan Tuck also played for the U.S. but did not score.
Stewart, Mosqueda-Lewis, Dolson, Hartley, Tuck and DeShields all made the final cut for the U-19 squad, playing in the FIBA U-19 World Championships.
