Report: Abrosimova cut from Russian Olympic team
According to a report by the www.lovewomensbasketball.com site, former UConn star and two-time Olympian Svetlana Abrosimova was not among the 20 players invited to take part in Russia's Olympic team training camp later this month.
The report cited Abrosimova's diminishing role both with the national team and with her club team UMMC Ekaterinburg as the reason for the omission.
Abrosimova made her Olympic debut back in 2000 when she was still a student at UConn and again in 2008 as she helped Russia earn a bronze medal.

I hope that Sveta wants to play in the WNBA and lands a roster spot. She was a perfect 6th player for Seattle's championship team.
