Bria Hartley continues to work way back from injury
Although it was announced that junior All-American guard Bria Hartley would not be playing in Sunday's game at Texas A&M, UConn coach Geno Auriemma said that Hartley is making progress in her return from a sprained left ankle.
"The last two days she said it felt really good," Auriemma said before Thursday's practice. "What's today? Thursday? It feels a lot better than it feels Sunday so that is a good sign. I am really, really optimistic not about this weekend but that she will be back soon."
Auriemma is hoping that Hartley will be back in time for the Nov. 22 game against Wake Forest in the Paradise Jam but reiterated that she will need to be at 100 percent before she gets back on the court.
