Caroline Doty won't play tonight
UConn senior guard Caroline Doty tweaked something in her surgically-repaired left knee during today's shootaround and she won't play in tonight's preseason opener against Indiana (Pa.)
According to a statement sent out by UConn, it is merely a precautionary move and she should be able to play in Wednesday's preseason game against Holy Family.
With Bria Hartley also being held out as she continues to work her way back from a sprained left ankle, expect to see plenty of sophomore Brianna Banks and freshman Moriah Jefferson tonight.
Just in case anybody is curious why I won't be providing updates from tonight's game, I am currently in Tampa for tomorrow's UConn/South Florida football game but will be back in women's basketball mode at the next open practice on Tuesday.
