Donovan has had four WNBA head coaching stints beginning in 2000 with the Indiana Fever. She coached the Charlotte Sting in 2001 and 2002 before taking over in Seattle from 2003-07. She coached the New York Liberty from 2009-2010 before leaving to become the head coach at Seton Hall. She won the WNBA title in 2004, ironically beating Connecticut in the championship series. She had 167-150 career WNBA coaching record.
