Report: UConn signee Gabby Williams to have knee surgery in Connecticut
According to a report in the Reno Gazette-Journal, UConn signee Gabby Williams will fly to Connecticut on Tuesday and undergo surgery to repair a torn ACL in Connecticut.
Williams had both her junior and senior seasons at Reed High in Sparks, Nev. ended with torn ACLs. Considering the number of ACL injuries suffered by current and former UConn players, Williams will get her surgery done with the hope that it will be the last one she will need. Given the normal recovery period, Williams should be able to be back on the court by the time the 2014-15 season kicks off.
