5 UConn players land on AAC All-Academic squad
All-Americans Bria Hartley and Breanna Stewart joined Kiah Stokes, Tierney Lawlor and Briana Pulido as honorees on the American Athletic Conference All-Academic Team as they were part of the 180 UConn student-athletes honored.
In other news, look for UConn to announce its non-conference schedule. Most of the schedule has already been released by other schools but the delay has been caused by the Gulf Coast Showcase in Estero, Florida not releasing the bracket for the Nov. 28-30 event.
The College of Charleston has tweeted that it will face UConn at 8:30 p.m. on Nov. 28 with a game against either Minnesota or Vanderbilt on the 29th. What that means is the Arizona State, Georgia Tech, Wisconsin Green Bay and Villanova would be on the other side of the bracket and serving as the opponent for UConn on the final day of the tournament.
