UConn commit Dangerfield a national player of the year finalist
UConn incoming freshman Crystal Dangerfield is one of five finalists for the McDonald's national high school player of the year.
Dangerfield is joined by Baylor commits Natalie Chou and Lauren Cox, Notre Dame signee Jackie Young and Texas commit Joyner Holmes.
Dangerfield averaged 24.1 points per game as a senior leading Blackman High of Murfreesboro, Tenn. to a 27-4 record. I don't have the full stats for the season-ending loss to Riverdale in the Tennessee 4-AAA semifinals but entering that game, she was averaging 5.1 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 2.5 steals per game.
