UConn signee Megan Walker earns Naismith All-American honors

Add the Naismith All-American selection to the growing list of accolades secured by UConn signee Megan Walker.

The 6-foot-1 forward out of Monacan High in Richmond, Va. was joined on the first team by Tennessee incoming freshmen Anastasia Hayes and Evina Westbrook, Louisville commit Dana Evans and Texas signee Reliah Boothe.

Walker is averaging 25.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and 3.1 steals per game for undefeated Monacan. She has 2,027 career points which according to the VHSL record book ranks 30th in Virginia state history. Walker leads Monacan after its third straight Virginia 4A championship on Friday against Kings Fork.

UConn Class of 2018 commit Charli Collier and recruiting target Christyn Williams are the only two underclassmen to make one of the three five-member teams as both were third-team selections.
UConn incoming freshmen Mikayla Coombs and Lexi Gordon earned honorable mention recognition.
