UConn's Dangerfield helps U.S. reach U19 semifinals
UConn's Crystal Dangerfield had seven points, two rebounds and a steal as the United States defeated France 78-51 to advance to the FIBA U19 World Cup semifinals.
Just two days after leaving a win over Puerto Rico with an ankle injury, Dangerfield finished third on the U.S. by playing 24 minutes.
Chennedy Carter had 18 points, Joyner Holmes added 14 points and six rebounds, Tyasha Harris finished with 12 points, four rebounds and six assists while Bella Alarie had 11 points and five rebounds.
The U.S. will play Japan in Saturday's semifinals while Canada and Russia will meet in the other semifinal.
