Connecticut Sun will go into break in first place

Regardless of what happens tomorrow when the Connecticut Sun hosts Washington and Friday when the Sun plays at Chicago, Connecticut will head into the Olympic break in first place in the WNBA's Eastern Conference.

The Sun's 77-70 win over Washington today improved its record to 13-4 and Connecticut is 2 1/2 games ahead of second-place Indiana. The worst the Sun can be heading into the break is 13-6 while Indiana can be no better than 11-6.

The Sun will honor U.S. Olympians Tina Charles and Asjha Jones tomorrow in the ceremony. I don't have the official details yet but I believe their will be some sort of on the court ceremony for the fans to recognize the two former UConn stars.
