Svetlana Abrosimova's run of success included being a part of UConn's 2000 national championship team and included winning a WNBA title, seven Russian league crowns, two European titles and winning an Olympic bronze medal.
Could her next run at championship glory be as the president of the Russian Basketball Federation? Well, there is a report that she is being nominated for that post.

Svetie (as Sue Bird calls her) is a woman with loads of Basketball experience in at least two large nations and big time college basketball. If any has the right personality (she took Geno to task as a College Soph) to do the job properly--it's Svetlana Abrosomosa.
While she was in College "Blame it on the Bassanova". I asked the UConn band to put words to it like Blame it on Abrosomova" . But they refused. I think she could have been blamed for at least 70 wins while at UConn. Blame THAT on Abrosomosa!!!!
