UConn commit Molly Bent two wins from NEPSAC title

While I haven't seen any individual statistics, I can pass on the information that UConn signee Molly Bent's Tabor Academy team defeated Thayer Academy 72-38 in the first round of the NEPSAC Class A tournament.

The win was the 19th straight for Tabor Academy which will host New Hampton in Saturday's semifinals. Noble & Greenough, the only team to beat Tabor this season and the team which defeated Tabor in last year's Class A title game, will play at Worcester Academy in the other semifinal on Saturday. The championship game is set for Sunday at Noble & Greenough in Dedham, Mass. at 5:30 p.m.

Tabor Academy defeated New Hampton 68-60 during the regular season.

Also, Kyla Irwin's State College High School squad will face Penn Hills in the first round of the Pennsylvania on Friday.

Irwin, who recently scored her 2,000th career point, is averaging 26.3 points, 12.2 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 2.4 steals and 1.3 blocked shots per game with 17 double-doubles with seven 30-point performances.
