Some video of Breanna Stewart
Here is a video of UConn commit Breanna Stewart stealing the ball and going in for kind of a dunk. I say "kind of a dunk" because although the 6-foot-3 forward/center from North Syracuse, N.Y. did elevate over the rim, she did lose control of the ball a little bit. It is still an impressive play and in an interview she said "I'll give it a 6 for going in but it did not go in very nicely."
Stewart had 30 points in the game, leading Cicero-North Syracuse to a 64-28 victory over Baldwinsville on Thursday.
Speaking of Stewart, I just got off the phone with Barbara Nelson, who coached Stewart on the U-16 and U-17 national teams in the last two summers. Considering that Nelson has coached UConn commits Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis, Kiah Stokes, Stewart and Morgan Tuck as well as UConn recruiting target Jewell Loyd, I thought she would provide some great insight into what the future of UConn women's basketball is looking like.
