South Florida's top scorer is injured
My first report from the Big East tournament is not a positive one. Andrea Smith, South Florida's leading scorer and a second team All-Big East selection injured her knee in the first minute of the opening game of the tournament.
Smith grabbed her knee as she drove to the basket and no contact was involved so the fear is it could be an ACL. At halftime there was no update on the severity of the injury.
Smith is USF's only double-digit scorer, averaged 17 points per game in the regular season.
