Proud and blessed to say I will be a Michigan State Spartan next year! Thanks to everyone who has recruited me, and everyone for the support
UConn had pursued Gussert and the Huskies were hoping to get Gussert to Storrs for a campus visit
In a Detroit Free Press story Gussert is quoted as saying .“Geno was like: ‘If you come here and you like it, it’s a go.'"
Gussert was Michigan's Class D Player of the Year as a junior when she averaged 32 points per game.

Class D isn't AAA basketball--I think Michigan States loss is UConn's gain. It's like Terryville playing Hillhouse--
UConn has sweet shooting Chong, Stewart, Hartley, Tuck, Dolson, and who can forget Kaleena M. Lewis?????? One more "sweet" shooter is always nice, but a class D school never has that kind of competition to prove one's self.
