UConn to play in second semifinal on Sunday

ESPN announced that the Notre Dame/Maryland game will be the first national semifinal on Sunday to be followed by UConn's game against Stanford. The game is listed as starting at 8:30 p.m. but it will likely start closer to 9 p.m. (or perhaps midnight if the first semi is officiated like the Notre Dame/Baylor regional finale).

It wasn't too long ago when the Huskies and Cardinal were regular opponents in the Final Four meeting four times including three times in a row from 2008-10.

UConn's 53-47 win over Stanford in the 2010 in the national title game was the last tournament meeting between the teams.

Jim, do you have a prediction for the WNBA draft picks 1 thru 10?

Do you think which ever team targeted Natalie Achonwa will still pick her?

Never ever have been a fan of the person coaching the NY Liberty. But it would be nice if Dolson or Hartley ended up there.

Is there any chance the CT Sun would trade the #1 pick for another top 10 pick plus a 1st round draft pick next year or a veteran?

Thanks!

I'm horrible at predicting the way WNBA picks. I would think that Chiney Ogwumike, Odyssey Sims, Kayla McBride and Alyssa Thomas should go 1-4. I would be shocked if the Sun passed on Ogwumike and I think it would take one heck of a deal for them to make a trade. Tulsa holds the key to the draft. If they didn't have Diggins, Sims would make sense but maybe they'll take McBride who I think will be a star in the pros. Hartley would be a great fit in Laimbeer's system, kind of how Deanna Nolan was for him in Detroit.
