Moore makes the cut
UConn sophomore forward Maya Moore was named to the CoSIDA Academic District 1 team making her eligible for academic All-American honors.
Moore has a 3.74 grade-point average and leads the 22-0 Huskies in scoring (19.8 points), rebounding (9.1) and steals (2.1).
Other members of the District 1 University Division team were Marist's Rachele Fitz, Vermont's May Kotsopoulos, Katelyn Murray of St. Bonaventure and Marie Waner of Canisius.
Former Cheshire Academy star Johannah Leedham, a junior at Frankli Pierce, was named to the District 1 College Division team along with Bridgeport's Shannon Malone and Sidney Parsons.

Louisville junior guard Brandie Radde has left the team to concentrate on getting into medical school and West Virginia's leading scorer - senior Takisha Granberry suffered a knee injury which could put her season in jeopardy.
